Sitra Butchery reach Seqaya soccer event semis
16 August 2012: Sitra Butchery barged into the semi-finals of the 29th Seqaya Ramadan Football Tournament, being held at Seqaya grounds in Salmaniya.
Sitra Butchery scored a hard but well-earned 2-1 penalty shoot-out victory against Al Janoob after both teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regular time in their top-six elimination round tie.

Ateeq visits volleyball team training
SALMAN Cultural Centre president Salama Ateeq, along with administrator Wafa Al Jazzaf, visited the Bahrain Volleyball Association hall, which hosted the girls volleyball team's most recenttraining.
The visit was within the plans and mechanisms to carry out the Kingdom of Bahrain Talents Identification Programme, supervised by the General Organization for Youth and Sports in co-operation with sports federations. Ateeq is also the programme supervisor. Read more
Works on Gulf Cup facilities on track
Executive Committee chairman of the 21st Gulf Cup Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has announced that they are closer to completing all the construction and renovation works of sports facilities that will host the matches and training teams to compete in the coming event, to be held in Bahrain from January 5 to 18 next year.
